This 4th grade Science lesson was shared with us by the International School of Louisiana.
Materials (for 1 group of 6-8 students):
- Snap cubes for model houses or cardstock, template, tape, scissors, and markers
- 5-pound (2.3 kg) box of modeling clay per group (reusable)
- 1 aluminum baking pan
- 1 pair of wire cutters to cut the baking pan (shared)
- 1 large, shallow, plastic tub (shared)
- 1 small cup to pour water over the riverbed model (shared)
- Something rigid like a clipboard to support the baking tin after inserting the clay
- Towels & sponges for cleanup
- A thick book to prop up the plastic tub (may not be needed if you conduct activity outside)
