A great deal can be learned about the human body when it is analyzed as a simple machine - a lever. The human body is made up of levers (bones) with applied forces (muscles) to move body parts. The principles of the various lever types are first taught using a meter stick lever and then dramatically demonstrated using the arm-tube lever. The strongest person in your class will be humbled when a little leverage is applied to the arm tube. Note: Slotted weights are required but not provided in the kit. Teacher Demonstration Notes and Observation Record Sheets attached and included in kit.
