Demonstrate the conversion of solar energy into mechanical energy. Four solar cells are mounted a plastic disc (4½" dia.) that is connected to a DC motor. When the panels are exposed to a lamp or the Sun, the wheel starts to spin. Experiment with different intensities of light to vary the speed.
