Passing Traits Genetics Kit - ISL Grade 3 Check Availability

Analyze and interpret data to provide evidence that plants and animals have traits inherited from parents and that variation of these traits exists in a group of similar organisms. In this series of two activities students explore inherited traits. They use Lab-Aids and Punnett squares to gather data on, interpret, and predict the probability of traits being passed from parent to offspring. They then read about “survival of the fittest,” natural selection, selective breeding, and the relationships between these concepts.
