Students will investigate the reactivity of different metals by measuring voltages produces using citrus fruit and metal strips, and use "ACME" to explain that a battery is a corrosion cell.

Materials (Per student group of 4) You must list how many students you have in your reservation to receive the correct amount of materials:
+ 4 oranges (or other citrus fruit)
+ 1 2" aluminum metal strip
+ 1 2" Lead metal strip
+ 1 2" Tin metal strip
+ 1 2" Zinc metal strip
+ 4 2" Magnesium strips
+ 1 2" Iron strip
+ 5 alligator clip cords
+ 1 Voltmeter or Multimeter
+ 1 LED light
