Project WET: The Incredible Journey In Stock Now

Provided by the Louisiana Department of Agriculture and Forestry, the Project WET curriculum enables students to explore physical, chemical, environmental, and global water phenomena. This kit is for The Incredible Journey activity, available on pages 155-162 in the Project WET book or downloadable as a pdf below. The full Project WET curricula book is available in our library, or through attending a Project WET workshop through STEM Library Lab.

Through this highly interactive, multimodal exploration of a water drop's journey around the earth, students will be able to describe the movement of water within the water cycle and identify states of water at moves through the water cycle. 


Materials: 


For set up of stations: 

+ 9 large pieces of paper labeled with station names (Soil, Plant, River, Clouds, Ocean, Lake, Animal, Ground Water, and Glacier) 

+ Each station has an accompanying cube (or spinner) that determines the water drops next steps in the journey. Cubes can be found for download separately in our inventory under "Project WET: Journey Cubes."


For activity: 

+ 1 pipe cleaner per student. Instructors must list how many students this activity will serve in the notes of their reservation in order to receive the appropriate amount of materials. 

+ 9 packs of differently colored beads (one color for each station). At least 100 beads of each color per class.
